Food Paradize

When there's faith, Someday there's hope.

THE BUNKER BAR & BISTRO RESTAURANT @ 27 Cosford Road( Changi )

A basic introduction of the bunker;

Basically you will Dine with a Big Gun at Johor Battery, pretty a fancy restaurant to dine in for couples and pals at night!

Restaurant may get a little quiet in the day but please kindly do make a reservation as the restaurant will be packed if you’re dining at the restaurant in the night!

So as me and mates went to explore the unknown places of Changi, and we didn’t expect to spot any restaurants there as the location is kind of deserted.

Here are some photos of the bunker:

SnapShots of the Food:

Overall the food was pretty decent as it’s a casual dining restaurant, Tastes of the food are well balance and portion of the food are just right.

Food presentation wise are well presented, as what you seen the photos snapped above.

Services of the restaurant are well pleased, as while waiting for the food. The Staff actually entertained us with poker cards(while waiting for the food to be served) as it was chinese new year season back then.

Ambience of the restaurant was really quiet as we dine in the day but not forgetting that the music they played are well matched.

Astons Restaurant @ The Cathay

Double Up Chicken ( Char-Grilled & Lemon Lime Chicken )

Overall taste of the meal was mediocre, nothing really stood out for me, the “gravy” on top went well with the chicken.

Food presentation was good, portions were just right. Priced at $10.90 it’s Perfect for when you want to have lunch or dinner.

Price:$10.90

Next!

IEATSUPERBURGER

seeing as to how they named the burger a “Superburger”, i really had to see for myself what “super” really meant, Boy I wasn’t disappointed.

The burger had a beef patty at the bottom, and bacon stacked high above it, coupled with Cheese that was so delicious, i could eat it on its own!

The beef patty was done nicely, and the bacon added a nice “tangy” flavor to the meaty taste of the beef.

Priced at $12.90, it’s steep if you’re looking to just get a burger, but take my advise, the size of it is justifiable.

I’d recommend this, when you need a bite to fill yourself for a light lunch.

Price: $12.90

Overall atmosphere and service:

Service at Astons was good, no complaints there; the food I ordered didn’t take too long to arrive, and waiters were knowledgeable when i queried them on the menu items.

Restaurant atmosphere is casual, good for when you want to have lunch or dinner with friends/family.

Total Expenditure for two meals: ~$25

Where I dined: Astons Restaurant @  The Cathay, 2 Handy Road, #04-03, Singapore.

Hatched @ 26 Evans Road. Located at 25 evans road, is an egg themed restaurant aptly named “Hatched”. Yes, you guessed it; all the food items in the menu are centered around; eggs.-I was there on a monday afternoon, for lunch.. What i realised straight away, when i stepped in was the decor. The interior decor would definately appeal to youths. It had a fun and vibrant atmosphere throughout, something which I really liked.
Had a Look through the menu, which had a plethora of egg dishes on offer. I decided to try the “Poached Pammy Party”.Poached Pammy Party (Picture Above) Waiting time after ordering wasn’t long, which was a definate plus for me, and when the food arrived, I was really pleased. It looked delicious.
What i had on my plate was; Two servings of Smoked salmon on a piece of bread topped off with a very delicious looking egg that had the yolk broken deliberately, which coated the top of the egg whites. The sides, were marinated potatoes. -My take on the meal: Apart from the uniqueness of the dish, the food itself was pretty normal, everything tasted decent, the egg was done well; and the potatoes went well with the smoked salmon.
The pricing for this is $18, a very steep amount considering it was just for two mediocre sized servings of eggs, salmon, and potatoes.Price: $18++ -Overall atmosphere and service:I’d recommend ‘Hatched’, if you are having brunch or a late lunch, but not for dinner or when you want to get “stuffed”.
The whole atmosphere of the restaurant was casual and bistro-ish,  good for breakfast/lunch/light dinner with friends or a date with your significant other. Staff was friendly, and food doesn’t take long to arrive.-Total Expenditure: $18++, before taxes and service charge.-If you want to dine at Hatched, it is located at: 26 Evans Road #01-06 Evans LodgeContact: 6735 0012Opening Hours: Tues-Thurs, 8AM - 10PM (Last food order @ 9:30PM)Fri-Sat: 8AM-11PM (Last food order @ 9:30PM)Sun: 8AM - 10PM (Last food order @ 9:30PM)
